Selected Work

Products I've built by solving real-world problems.

Every project in this portfolio started with a problem worth solving. Building them strengthened my engineering skills while teaching me how thoughtful software creates better user experiences.

How I work

The principles that guide every product I build.

These ideas influence how I approach problems, build software, and continue growing as an engineer.

Solve the right problem

Every project begins with understanding the real problem before writing code. I believe technology creates value only when it helps people or businesses accomplish something more effectively.

Learn by building

The projects in this portfolio weren't built to check boxes on a learning roadmap—they were built to solve problems while stretching my engineering skills. Every application teaches me something I carry into the next.

Keep improving

I see software engineering as a continuous journey. Every finished project reveals better ways to design interfaces, organize code, solve problems, and build better user experiences.

Build for people

Whether I'm building a finance dashboard, a productivity app, or a weather application, my goal is the same: create software that feels intuitive, reliable, and genuinely useful to the people using it.

Engineering Journey

Learning. Building. Shipping. Growing.

Every stage of my journey has strengthened the engineer I'm becoming—from learning the fundamentals, to contributing professionally, to building products that solve real problems.

  1. 2023

    Discovering Software Engineering

Began my software engineering journey by learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through structured courses, tutorials, and consistent practice. This period was dedicated to building strong frontend fundamentals and understanding how modern websites are designed and developed.

  2. Nov 2024 — Present

    Professional Experience

    Beloved Infotech Global Ltd.

Joined Beloved Infotech Global Ltd. through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as a Frontend Web Developer & Technical Instructor. Contributed to frontend development, software testing, user training, and educational software projects. In November 2025, I transitioned into a full-time Frontend Web Developer & Technical Instructor, continuing to contribute to software development while mentoring over 100 students and guiding the deployment of more than 10 live websites.

  3. 2025 — Present

    Building Real Products

Made a deliberate shift from learning through tutorials to learning by building. Started with responsive websites using HTML and CSS before progressing into JavaScript-powered web applications. Through projects like Habitual, WeatherNow, QuizNow, and Ploutos, I gained practical experience with DOM manipulation, Local Storage, Fetch API, asynchronous JavaScript, search and filtering, analytics dashboards, dark mode, file uploads, drag-and-drop interactions, and responsive user interface design.

  4. Now

    The Next Chapter

Currently expanding my frontend engineering toolkit by learning React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture while continuing to build increasingly sophisticated software products and preparing to contribute to high-performing engineering teams.

About Me

I'm passionate about building software that solves real problems.

I'm Anene Elvis Ekene, a Frontend Software Engineer based in Osun State, Nigeria. I build responsive websites and interactive web applications that help businesses and individuals solve real problems through thoughtful, user-focused digital experiences.

My journey into software engineering began with curiosity. I spent time learning the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before challenging myself to move beyond tutorials and start building real products. Every project has pushed me to become a better engineer and a better problem solver.

Today, I enjoy building applications that combine clean interfaces with practical functionality. Whether I'm integrating APIs, designing dashboards, implementing search and filtering, or working with client-side data, I'm always thinking about how technology can make someone's work or daily life a little easier.

I'm currently expanding my skills in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend engineering while pursuing opportunities to contribute to ambitious engineering teams and collaborate with businesses that want to build meaningful digital products.
